Florence is one of the most loved cities in the world, impossible to stay in Tuscany and not stop for a visit to the heart of the Renaissance.<\/p>\n\n

Even in a short time, you can admire much of the city. Walking through the streets of the old town you will be fascinated by the beautiful buildings, churches and architecture that you will find turning at every corner.<\/p>\n\n

The Cathedral of Santa Maria del Fiore<\/strong> overlooks Piazza del Duomo<\/strong>, with its splendid polychrome marble exteriors, the Campanile di Giotto<\/strong> and the Baptistery of San Giovanni<\/strong>.Through the main streets of the center, you can reach Piazza della Signoria, with the town hall (Palazzo Vecchio) and the nearby Uffizi Gallery<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n

Not far from the Ponte Vecchio<\/strong>, the symbol of the city and used by the Medici family to move from Palazzo Vecchio<\/strong> to Palazzo Pitti<\/strong> in a hurry, and especially without going down the city streets.<\/p>\n\n

Indeed, Oltrarno is home to the Pitti Palace, which today houses several museums and the famous Boboli Gardens<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n

But Florence can be admired even better from above and from its panoramic terrace par excellence, the Piazzale Michelangelo. From here you can enjoy an exceptional and almost moving view of the city (especially at sunset). Just above this place is the beautiful abbey of San Miniato al Monte and below the Garden of Roses and the Iris, beautiful in the period of spring flowering. <\/p>\n\n

To reach Florence: <\/p>\n\n

By train<\/strong>: from Borgo station to Buggiano you can take the train and reach Florence station in about 50 minutes. Once you get off you can reach the historic center of the city with just 15 minutes walk. By car<\/strong>: take the A\/11 motorway towards Florence, exit at Sesto Fiorentino and follow the signs for the centre. You can leave your car comfortably in the underground car park of Santa Maria Novella Station and reach the historic centre in about 15 minutes on foot.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
