A bittersweet comedy about the female world. Two eras, two ways of being women.
The Sixties: a game of cards to be together. Every Thursday afternoon four friends tell each other about loves and betrayals, theorizing about motherhood, life and the problems of marriage. They argue, laugh, speak with complicity and a bit of cynicism. Forty years later: the daughters meet again at the funeral of one of their mothers. They are the same girls who, during the card games, played in the next room. Like their mothers, they confide in each other dreams and fears, the passing of time, the relationship with work, husbands, the desire for motherhood. How are you compared to your mothers?
Decades have passed but the female identity seems unchanged, despite her career and emancipation.
