From 12 April to 27 July 2025, the historical spaces of the Palazzo Pretorio in Buggiano Castello (PT) host “Mnemonico Cellulare”, a solo exhibition by the artist Andrea Mattiello, curated by Sofia Ancillotti and promoted by the Cultural Association Buggiano Castello APS, with the Sponsorship of the Municipality of Buggiano and the contribution of Bottega Roberta Brizzi.

An anthology on the occasion of the artist’s 50th birthday, which proposes a deep reflection on portrait and memory through works that tell the links, comparisons and intimate reconstruction of identity. The exhibition develops as a path between cells, symbols, images and memories that explore the human being in his relationship with others and himself, in a constant dialogue between past and present.

The three sections in which the exhibition is divided – “Material memory”, “Cellular memory” and the site-specific installation “Remember me” in former prisons – accompany the visitor on a sensitive and intense journey, between collective images and portraits suspended in time.

The opening is scheduled for Saturday, April 12 at 16.00. Free admission.
The exhibition will be open to visitors every Saturday and Sunday from 16.00 to 19.00. In July, only on Sundays. Special openings on 25 April, 1 May and 2 June (16.00 – 19.00).
